Terms and Conditions, please read at least once.

We have been trading since 2000.

We are a physical "real world" shop open 5 days a week, customers are welcome to visit us.  Around 2006 we took over the marketing of  "Tracklay Model Railway Ballasting System".  Tracklay is a registered trademark of Steve Forrester who began marketing the product  in the 1980's, unfortunately Steve has since passed away and I now look after his product with the help of his wife.

 If paying by cheque for this product please make payable to "Tracklay Sales" all other non railway products please make cheques payable to Feather 'N' Fur Pet Supplies.

 IMPORTANT REGARDING PAYMENTS PLEASE READ.   We accept payments by either debit or credit card, cheque or postal order. Cards are processed by either "Nochex" or "Paypal".

  A method of payment will be selectable after clicking the "checkout "button. Note we never see your card details, we only get confirmation of your payment and address to which to despatch, this helps with your security.

 ALSO NOTE,        As from  end of May 2009 we will be able to accept card payments over the phone. 01509 415594

Please place your order in the normal way on the site,  be sure to enter your address and phone number on the address page, we will ring you back to arrange payment over the phone. Please note your delivery address must be the same as your card holder address for over the phone payments.

We are Data Protection act registered, we never pass any of your details to anyone else.

Payments made over the internet by cards are administered by either Nochex or Paypal, they are the only ones to see your card details, we have no access to them whatsoever. We are notified by the processors when you make a payment to us, they then pass us your delivery details and the total amount paid, and nothing else.

Under "Distance Selling"laws you have the right to return undamaged/unused goods within 14 days of delivery.  You must notify us in writing of your intention to return goods within 7 days of receipt before posting. You must get Proof of posting  for items that you return. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt, insurance is advised. If a returned item becomes lost in the post you will be expected to do the required claiming from the Royal Mail to get compensation for the value of the item. If the reason for return is our fault ( yes we do make mistakes) then we will refund all costs, If the reason for return is simply that you changed your mind then we will only refund the product cost, not any postage costs and a 20%  of the sale price restocking fee will be charged.

We attempt to despatch your parcel same day or within a two days of payment. We do not post on  usually Saturdays or the day before a bank holiday and obviously we do not post on bank holidays or Sundays.

We are aware that Royal Mail delivery times are only guidelines and our own statistics show that first class can take as long as 10 days, (not often but it does happen) 2nd class even longer again not the norm but occasionally.  Of course some parcels never arrive!. If a parcel is late we can only make a claim to the Royal Mail after 14 days at which time we will also send out a replacement, if your parcel is urgent and cannot take the chance of being delayed then we recommend requesting a timed delivery service for which an extra fee will be payable. If you wish to shout at us for the failure of the Royal Mail to deliver then you will be redirected to the Royal Mail to shout at them. 

Fortunately 99.9% of our customers understand that mail order is not an "instant "service and if a problem arises we will do out best to help.

If you are the type that expects everything immediately and cannot handle it if things take a little longer than expected then please feel free to buy elsewhere.

If the Royal Mail attempt to deliver and you are not in they will leave a calling card, it is your responsibility to then ring the number on the card and get your parcel re-delivered or go and collect it from the sorting office. It is not our fault if you are not in when the Royal Mail calls. Also please be aware that for recorded deliveries that are uncollected the Royal Mail will return them to us after 1 week. Once returned we will refund the price of the goods, but the original postage paid will not be refunded, obviously we cannot get the postage back from the Royal Mail if they have tried to deliver the parcel.

Refunds. Any refunds made will not necessarily be by the same method as the original payment. This is at our discretion.

By reading this and ordering from this site you are acknowledging that you are aware of the way we work. So please please if you do not agree with these terms (which we have to write out as there is always someone who lives in an ultra perfect world where nothing ever goes wrong and they never ever make mistakes themselves) then please do not order from us. If you do order from us and wish to shout at us for something that is not our fault or beyond our control then your complaints will be forwarded to the organisation responsible.

That said we do care for those customers who understand what we are trying to say above.
